Everyone needs a little help from time to time. Chesed (meaning kindness) is the group within FRS that tries to make sure we are there when you need that extra bit of support.

Chesed does many things, from welcoming you to a service or FRS event, so you don’t have to feel alone, to creating social networks to bring people together who have common interests. Chesed has also gathered up a supply of home-cooked food to take to members who are not well and will offer help to new mums – whether it’s practical or moral support – or both.

We recognise the importance of keeping in touch and try to call members of the community a couple of times a year – just to see how they’re doing. We are also in the process of setting up local networks of near-neighbours so that if a member is not well, someone nearby can pop in just to see if they need any help.
