6.30pm-7.00pm Tekes (Memorial Ceremony) to remember our 6 million. Led by Rabbi Miriam Berger
7.00pm-8.00pm “Stolpersteine – Stumbling Blocks”. Hear Andrew Gellert’s fascinating stories behind these small yet powerful Holocaust memorials dotted all over Europe. There will be time for discussion after the presentation.
Andrew was born in Kenya in 1953, the son of Holocaust refugees from Czechoslovakia who arrived in Kenya in 1939 with their one year old daughter, Vera. He grew up in Kenya and then London and has lived here since high school. He lives in Hendon with Selina, his wife, and has two daughters. He worked as a GP and Educationalist in inner city Brent till retiring two years ago. He is a member of NWRS, Alyth Gardens
