Communications Officer and PA to the Clergy Team (full-time)

Salary commensurate with skills and experience

We are seeking a skilled individual to work as a Communications Officer and PA to the Clergy in a busy and dynamic environment.

This person will use a variety of IT tools to provide seamless channels of communications between members, lay-leaders and the professional team as well as support the diverse and sometimes confidential work of the clergy team. You will have excellent IT and communication skills, a track record of providing excellent ‘customer service’ and relevant experience of working as an efficient PA, supporting senior staff members.

Volunteer Receptionists (part-time)

Each session is three hours long (with 10 three hour slots over the week) and the post would ideally suit those who can commit to a regular slot (or slots). You might be someone who has recently retired and is looking for a volunteering opportunity, or a recent graduate looking for work experience. Perhaps you are a parent looking to enhance your CV before returning to work after a career break, or you may simply want to give some time to your community on a regular basis. Whatever your reason, we would be delighted to meet with you to discuss the opportunity further.

Events Manager & Member Engagement Officer (part-time)

Salary commensurate with skills and experience

FRS provides a wide range of diverse, innovative and engaging events throughout the year including activities and services around festivals, community building, and member-led initiatives.  As our community grows in membership and the number and complexity of activities we offer increases, we are now ready to expand our professional team to recruit an excellent event/project manager to lead on all FRS Events and collaborate with the membership to deliver them.

This person will deliver and manage a wide calendar of events, be able to multi-task, and prioritise and lead a team of volunteers and staff.  The person will be task orientated, with a commitment to excellence as well as a good understanding of the Jewish calendar and ethos of the community.  The role will be key in enhancing member engagement and strengthening relationships between members and the professional team.

Approximate hours will be 2 days a week, working flexibly across the year, with possibly more days around events.
